On behalf of the Booster Club, welcome to Jordan Catholic School! The Booster Club has two primary missions in support of our Jordan Catholic School students; funding the physical education programs all of our students participate in and providing a number of athletic programs for those students who choose to further their physical education experiences at Jordan Catholic School.
First, I would like to take an opportunity to inform everyone about the reality that the gymnasium our students use for their physical education classes and athletics belongs to St. Pius X. The Booster Club is responsible for providing the funds needed to pay the yearly lease on the gymnasium. In addition to the lease, we also maintain the gym floors, bleachers, lighting, sound system along with the concession area of the gymnasium. This is something we take great pride in being able to offer all of our Jordan families.
We also raise the monies needed to purchase all of the equipment required to run a quality, fun and innovative physical education curriculum. As part of the PE curriculum, the Booster Club funds 100% of the costs associated with swimming lessons for our 1st through 4th graders, bowling lessons for our 5th and 6th graders along with snow skiing for our 7th and 8th graders. Additionally, the Booster Club pays for bus transportation to Augustana College for the mile run and the maintenance fees for Field Day at Augustana College.
The athletic programs offered by Jordan Catholic School are support by our efforts also. These include; volleyball, basketball (girls & boys), cheerleading and softball. We provide the required team uniforms for all the sports offered, tournament entry entry fees, officials' fees, bus transportation and membership to Illinois Elementary School Assoc. (IESA)
The Booster Club also supports the Alleman Catholic School co-op athletic programs, such as football, cross-country, tennis, wrestling, and track.
We are proud of the fact that our efforts benefit every Jordan Catholic School student!
So how does the Booster Club pay for all of this? Booster Club fundraisers include the annual Christmas Wreaths Sale, Spirit Wear Sales, John Deere Golf Classic Parking and the annual Jordan Golf Outing.
