PreK Programs/Childcare
ILSB (Illinois Learning Standards)
PreK3 year old & PreK4 year old Program Overview
With a focus on developing the whole child according to individual needs and skill level, Jordan Catholic School provides a safe, inviting, play-based learning environment. Children learn to problem-solve, engage with other children, and work cooperatively through a variety of tactile, interactive, and hands-on learning materials. Age-appropriate activities and projects help to develop each child's fine and gross motor skills, science and math skills, and language and verbal proficiency. The curriculum is divided into themes that incorporate different components of the community, the children's interests, and holidays/seasons. The Pre-K curriculum includes Splash into Pre-K, an early learning program that builds student literacy and math skills.
PreK classes are taught from 8:00am - 11:00am

4 Year Old PreK uses the Splash into PreK curriculum that helps integrate weekly themes throughout all academic areas from math to literacy to science & more! This allows us to maintain a hands-on and engaged environment that teaches social skills, fine and gross motor development and foundational literacy and math skills all while having fun and developing a love for learning!
Religion Curriculum: Allelu!
The three-day and 5-day programs use main components of the Splash into PreK curriculum. Each class participates in the same number of field trips, classroom parties, and major school-wide events!
Childcare Overview
The Childcare Program reinforces the Pre-Kindergarten pedagogy with activities in math, language, science, community, health, and physical development. Children experience a balance of quiet and active time with individual, small, and large group activities throughout the day. We offer childcare as early as 6:30 am and as late as 5:30 pm. This before and after school option is available by choosing a PreK program w/ Childcare.
